Archaeological Museum of Agios Nikolaos

The Archaeological Museum of Agios Nikolaos was founded in 1970 in Agios Nikolaos and houses findings from the Neolithic Age, the Minoan Era and the Graeco-Roman Times from the Lassithi prefecture.

Among the findings, most important is the skull of an athlete, crowned with a gold olive wreath and a silver coin from Polirinia in his mouth (compensation of the ferryman of Hades), and the figurine Goddess of Myrtos. There are more findings from the necropolis of the Agia Fotia, Myrtos, Malia, etc.
